It is responsible for ensuring compliance with warehouse operations, transport, inventories, and customer service in its area of influence.

Responsibilities

· Set distribution goals and plan and manage distribution operations to achieve the set goals.

· Identify resources, perform workload assignments, and assist when required.

· Conduct training for team members as needed.

· Monitor team performances and provide feedback for improvements.

· Oversee daily routes and improve route plans to ensure timely deliveries.

· Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.

· Address customer queries and ensures customer satisfaction.

· Develop distribution budgets and manage expenses within the budgets.

· Work with warehouse and transportation staff to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

· Perform cost negotiations with vendors and provide appropriate solutions for bulk distributions.

· Ensure that company transport vehicles are maintained in good working conditions.

· Develop cost reduction initiatives while maintaining productivity and quality.

· Plan and schedule deliveries to meet customer needs.

· Assist in inventory management activities, including receiving, storing, rotating, and handling supplies in the distribution center.

· Assist in daily route planning is needed

· Bilingual) English and Spanish

Requirements

· 3-5 years experience in the distribution center, logistics, and transportation management

· Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience of working in a large, complex transport and distribution function - ideally within a temperature-controlled distribution

· A passion for encouraging teamwork, with an innovative approach to leadership – being creative and implementing new ways to improve performance and get the best out of your people

· A focus on promoting a culture where all employees are engaged

· Excellent customer relationship building skills

· Strong commercial awareness

· An analytical mindset with a good understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics.

· Relevant transport and inventory management systems knowledge
